BIRDS & BUBBLY :: Monday, December 7th

This is a love story.

Fried Chicken & Champagne come from opposite sides of the tracks. He maintains a workingman's existence without much respect, keeping company with the humble Potatoes and lumpy Gravies of the world. She lives in permanent luxury; pampered bordering on spoiled, only rubbing elbows with the international elite: Messieurs Escargot, Prosciutto, Caviar.

But there is something that draws them to each other, a certain je ne sais quoi that makes all their obvious differences seem like reasons they were made for each other. It melts away the disparity of wealth, eliminates the cultural divide. It allows her to look past his greasy appearance, him to see through her air of pretension. And once they do, there is nothing more perfect than the balance of his spicy saltiness and her crisp effervescence.

They belong together, and who are we to say otherwise?

We've been toying with the idea for a Fried Chicken & Champagne dinner for a good long while, and on Monday, December 7th it's finally happening. In the interest of variety, the food menu will be built around the entire poultry family. And in the interest of economy, the drink pairings will feature 3 real-deal Champagnes and a couple of sparkling cocktails.

F*SHO :: Friday, September 18

We haven't been to F*SHO before but are very much looking forward to attending this year.  We were asked to be the restaurant sponsor and without question couldn't pass up the opportunity to support this very cool event.  So, if you like furniture and you like the City of Cleveland, why not spend your Friday night here?

Deschutes Brewery Street Pub :: Saturday, August 1

We are joining up with the team from Deschutes Brewery in Bend, Oregon for their one day pop-up pub, a.k.a street pub, in the Hingetown neighborhood on August 1st.  Nolan will be doing a cooking demo in the afternoon with their Chainbreaker White IPA. It is going to be such a fun event, so mark your calendars!

From the Deschutes Brewery website:

We're shutting down the streets in cities across the United States this year with our newest traveling event called: Street Pub - Crafted for Community. We're excited to bring our tour to Cleveland where you'll see the 400+ foot bar set up creating a pub of epic proportions. The bar is crafted from reclaimed wood and steel from Oregon, and the Street Pub is a one stop shop to try lots of our beers – from the coveted Reserve Series rarities (think The Abyss) all the way to year-round favorites like Black Butte Porter and Mirror Pond Pale Ale. We'll pair these beers up with culinary creations from Chef, Jeff Usinowicz, add in some live local music, and tie it in with a non-profit partner.

This one of a kind block party is truly, "crafted for community." Grab your friends and family and come see what it's all about.

Live music by:
The Spazmatics
These Knees
Tom Evanchuck & The Old Money
Midnight Passenger

Proceeds from this event go to the Western Reserve Land Conservancy who provide the region with natural places that nourish and support vibrant and prosperous communities by identifying, preserving, restoring and maintaining essential assets like clean water, working farms, wildlife areas, and parks.
